What’s up #Monday ?

I love a frosty morning.

I often get lost in my own head. There’s so much going on, so many things I want to do, so many things different people need from me. So many things I have to do! Add on top of that, our tendency, as a society, is to value the head over the heart (especially when it comes to practical matters, or business matters). Mostly, the heart gets put on the back burner with the idea that I’ll get to it later when I have some quiet time. But, if you’re like me, “quiet” time can be very few and far between.

You can practice being present & calming your mind anywhere. Once we learn the basic instructions of how to let go of thoughts and return to the present, & how to bring an attitude of gentleness to this process of meditation, then it really doesn’t matter where our body is. Because the real stuff is happening in our minds. *

Things in my life move in spirals. My energy levels, my moods, the busyness of my days. I’m such a planner that sometimes it’s easier to just go along with the idea that time is linear and so am I. But in a way that kind of thinking also makes me less aware of how I’m really feeling. It keeps me out of myself. It blinds me to patterns & cycles that are part of my physical & energetic being.

Let me introduce you to my two greatest teachers. 😆🧘🏼🧘🏼

There is an openness that is required if we want to know joy. *
